Semi-Portable Systems: It is a system consisting of a pumping unit and portable laterals in which the main pipes are buried in the soil. The semi-portable sprinkler irrigation system is the most used in the world. It is especially used for irrigation of field agriculture, meadows, pastures, vegetables and orchards.
Non-Portable Systems: In the system where the pumping unit, main pipe and laterals are fixed, the main pipe and laterals are buried under the ground and cannot be moved in any way. Non-portable systems are used extensively in citrus fruits, orchards and permanent meadows.
